Nearly 285 million people around the world are blind or visually impaired. For 80% of them, vision loss is preventable or treatable, and some can regain their sight through a simple eye operation. Since 2000, L'Occitane has supported the fight against avoidable blindness by helping provide access to eye care and supporting initiatives dedicated to protecting sight.

Over the years, L’Occitane has launched a range of solidarity products in support of people with visual impairments. 100% of the funds raised* help support projects run in partnership with charities and the L’Occitane Foundation, working to combat avoidable blindness. Since 2000, two million people in developing countries have gained access to eye care.

THE FLYING EYE HOSPITAL
Since 2000, L’Occitane has partnered with Orbis, a non-profit organisation dedicated to improving eye health worldwide. The organisation supports the Flying Eye Hospital, a unique teaching hospital on board an aircraft that travels the world, training doctors and nurses in sight-saving eye surgery.
